All the very best for the upcoming year

Garden roses

Sorry its been a while since my last post, we have been really busy getting creative in our front yard (pics soon) Today Im going to share some roses from my yard with you.

Pretty David Austin Windermere Roses sitting in an old French mustard pot.

White Meidiland roses from our front rock wall. These remind me of the stunning French Sombreuil rose but sadly they do not have the same scent.

Tamora has pleased me very much. I expected warmer tones from the blooms but I seem to be getting pink tones at the moment.

Once again Tamora in a pinker shade.

Wishing you all a very Happy New Year for 2013

Ready for Christmas entertaining!

Back again with another treasure....two days in a row posting my treasures now! :) I found this old trolley stand last week at a market and wasn't sure of it so walked off to do some more hunting. All I could think of was the old timber trolley so I decided to go back and grab it. I don't know what I was thinking holding off on the purchase!!! Sometimes I just get overwhelmed with all the treasures and possibilities that I hold back to see what else I may find and then go back to grab it and its gone. I am just lucky no one beat me to purchasing this beauty as I think its simply perfect in its new place.

All ready to host Christmas lunch :)

Have you ever held back to think about a purchase only to find it sold by the time you went back for it?

Unusual treasures

Don't you just love finding unusual treasures? Well I surely do! Last week I found some great pieces...I wont show you all of them but I will show you one of my fav pieces...who am I kidding? All the pieces were my fav this week lol.

This was the first think I laid eyes on and I knew it had to come home with me. It is a candle holder but I think it could be used to hold a number of things. I have one of my faded David Austin Mary Magdalene roses resting on it at the moment. I think it reminds me somewhat of a birdcage don't you? My fav part would have to be the old crystal bloom on the side of the stand and the rust...perfect!

Faded David Austin Mary Magdalene rose

I hope to share another one of my treasures with you the next few days...

Back to the market

Good morning! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Saturday we done a bit of prepping for the next stage to our garden and Sunday I went to market. Things have been kind of busy the past month and I haven't been attending so it was nice to get back into it.

I found these super cute mini white glass baubles that have been painted white from the inside giving them a lovely unperfectly perfect look. Great for my little trees!

A pair of white cast iron urns
