Decorating with old cable spools

Happy January to all my lovely friends! I am sorry it has been sometime since my last post but we are currently on summer holidays and I have been enjoying having my boys home.
Recently I noticed allot of pics floating around on re-purposed cable spools, so I asked my hubby if he could get his hands on some, after all he is an electrician. I was excited when he came home with this!

After a lot of measuring, fiddling, patching and painting this is how it came up...

I just love my new table/bookshelf that now sits on the front porch featuring my collection of vintage French novels at the moment but they wont be staying out there just in case.

I've been enjoying my new piece this afternoon sitting out on the porch listening to the trickling water & reading my favorite book...Vintage by Nina.

Last but not least sitting on my new cable spool table is the prettiest little French mustard jar (from Time Worn Style) filled with fresh David Austin Mary Magdalene roses.

Enjoy your day xo

P.S. I have loads to share this coming week...recipes as well as a lovely giveaway I was lovely enough to win just before Christmas.
